Please take a look at the sample files that shipped with Acrylic. C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Code Named Acrylic. I think they might cause you to take
another look at the program. If not, I would be interested to hear what it
is you don't like about the program.

I am sorry that you are not able to understand this great piece of
software. It takes some to learn but it's not THAT hard. This is my
second image created with Acrylics. It shows it's possibility since this
was created with vectors alone. I could not do that with good old
Illustrator (sorry Adobe!) with the same natural look and feeling.

You really are cheating yourself if you don't take some time to see what
this software is capable of. There have been a lot of sarcastic assessments
of Acrylic by people who clearly have no idea what it is that is unique about
Acrylic. Microsoft had really better make it clear what this program's
strengths are or this type of smartass, uninformed opinion will begin to hold
sway...
And MikeJPV and deebs, for your info, I have been using Illustrator for
years, painting and drawing for a lifetime, and trust me, Illy has long way
to go and a lot of catch-up to make its freehand drawing/painting and
natural media tools anywhere near as good as Acrylic/Expression. That is what
this program is really good at...

I attacked no one, I put no one down and Annie you allowed it to snowball

Macromedia Flash. Until then I had only used Illustrator. Gosh! I never
thought I would understand Flash. But my multimedia company had given me a
week or two to come to grips with it. I had no choise. I had to like it if
I wanted that job. After some days and nights and reading the Flash Bible I
could not do without it. Now I rather use Flash and almost never
Illustrator!

Fortunately, most of the people here tell us what they like and don't like
about the program. It's only on a rare occasion that people say they don't
like it but don't say why. I'm just happy with all the constructive feedback
we're getting.
