Exmerge problem

Hi there,

I'm trying to run a exmerge against a exchange server 5.5. When I ran it the
output file was much smaller 165 MB than the size stated in the exchange
administrator 811 MB. Exmerge claimed to have exported sucessfully but when
mounting the PST as private folders in Outlook messages are missing.
When I run exmerge repetedly (6 times) the outputfile is increasing in size
in steps and are now 765 MB.
It dosn't matter whether I run it from a client or from the server itself.
Am I doing something wrong or can't I rely on Exmerge?

What version do you have? Are you selecting all of the users to put data
into PST's? There should be one PST created for each user name.pst. Do
you get any errors in the exmerge.log? Are all folders selected and not
limiting the date range in the options for what data to pull out of the
store?

Hi Ward,

I am running exact the version you are refferring to but i can't check the
versinnumber right now. Yes there are errors in exmerge.log but they are
getting fewer each time i rerun exmerge. A few of the large mailboxes I had
to rerun 7 times and then the log showed that ther have been saved 2 items
less than stated in the mailbox resources. Most of the smaller mailboxes I
only had to run once bur also with 2 items less. I am done for now with
exmerging but we have an upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to 2010 ahead of us.
