Exchange and SQL Server in a Lotus Shop

Hey folks..

I have a situation where I am a dba for a company that uses SQL Server for
their databases but Lotus Notes for their messaging. As you may already
know, SQL Server requires Exchange for SQL Mail support. I was wondering if
anyone could offer advice in regards to installing an Exchange 5.5 server
(Exchange 2000 is out the question) for use only by the SQL Server and then
integrating that into the existing Lotus system. Has anyone done this? If
so, what are the gotchas, pitfalls, helpful hints, etc?
