Hi experts:

I set up my own mail server(exchange 2003) on one of my PC,I tried to send a
email inbound from different email account from Internet, such as hotmail and
yahoo email account. They are all failed, the error message is like:

---------------------------------------------------------
64.202.166.12 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, relaying denied from your location
[69.147.95.79] (#5.7.1) Giving up on 64.202.166.12.
---------------------------------------------------------

How can I make the smtp relay working?
Thanks a lot.

Are you relaying outbound mail through your ISP's mail server? You will
most likely need to setup a smarthost connection to your ISP for your mail
to go through to AOL, Yahoo, etc.

Hi John:

The problem is I can send a email from Internet to my exchange server, but I
can send a email from my domain through exchange server to Internet. It seems
the smtp server of those web sites(yahoo, hotmail, etc) block my smtp relay
from my domain.

Any idea? Thank you a lot.

Did you read the link I provided? You will need to setup your SMTP VS or
Connector with a smarthost of your ISP. Its very common for ISP's such as
AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail to block IP subnets of ISP's, which is what the link
referred too. This has nothing to do with relaying. Do you have a Static
IP?
