Exchange 2010 upgrade fr 2003

I have a small network with less than 100 users. The network is based
upon Windows 2003 single domain (2 DCs) with Exchange 2003. I am
planning to do the following:

1. Upgrade ALL Windows 2003 servers to Windows 2008 R2 with the
exception of Exchange 2003 server. Exchange server is NOT a DC.

2. Continue hosting EMail on Exchange 2003 with Windows 2003.

3. After Exchange 2010 becomes available, I'd like to install a new
Exch 2010 on a new Windows 2008 R2 server, keeping it a non-DC.

4. Move all the resources from current Exch 2003 to new Exch 2010 in
2-4 weeks.

5. Get rid of Exch 2003 entirely after successful transition.

I'd appreciate any help. I plan to do testing before taking a leap.

That looks like a good transition plan, just make sure to update your
firewall rules for SMTP, HTTPS, etc. for Exchange 2010 server. You will
also need to look at a Multi Domain (SAN) Certificate if you plan on
implementing Outlook Anywhere, I prefer Go Daddy as they are reasonably
priced. Post back if you have any issues in your testing.
