I am consulting with a company wich is going to be splitting up. The old company has an SBS2003 server set up and the new one has an SBS2008. Is it possible to move a mailbox off the 2003 server and connect it with a new user (New domain) on the 2008 server? I know I can export it all to PST and then reimport, but hoping there would be a faster way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

For that small amount of mailboxes and no cost solution, I would just use Exmerge.exe and Import-Mailbox cmdlet. You can look at third party solution such Ontrack Powercontrols but its not free.
