In Exchange Server machine telnet mail.xxx.com 25 works but on another
machine on network it doesn't work.
I closed all the firewalls and antivirus softwares but it doesn't work.
Any idea?
Thanks
Hi, Salim - that's not enough information, sorry. Please include full
details- are you on your own Exchange server, trying to telnet to yourself?
Are you having delivery problems sending mail elsewhere? IT would help if
you told us what problems you were trying to fix, and please also include
your versions & service pack levels of everything relevant.
Yes, when I try to telnet on ny Exchange Server 2003 machine it works, but
when I try to telnet on another machine it doesn't work.
And here is my telnet:
telnet mail.MyDomain.com 25
telnet mail.MyDomain.com 110
Thanks

From the Internet? or from the LAN?

From another LAN-connected computer try that ..
telnet internal_servername 25
If that works but you can't get to it from the Internet, the problem is
likely in your firewall/router rules.

Well. unless you enabled/started POP3 for some reason that wouldn't work
(and I don't suggest that you do enable it)
