no free and busy data or out of office assistant
Outlook 2007 is not reporting free and busy information from the Calendar Scheduling assistant from shared calendars or rooms. The Out of Office assistant does not consistently work also. This seems to be not enough communication from the server to the outlook clients. Setting a static address in the host file will resolve the... more »

Prevent users from emptying dumpster in OWA 2007 sp2
Hi All, I have come across a situation where a user (student in a school) has sent a message, deleted it and then emptied their Recovered Deleted Items folder. The user only has access to OWA and not Outlook 2007. Is their an AD attribute that can prevent a user from purging his deleted items permanently... more »

Search In grayed out when searching additional mailboxes?
Hi All, We work with outlook2003 in a Citrix environtment. Therefore outlook operates in the online mode. We have users who manage more than their own mailbox. They add the extra mailboxes to their own outlook, so that managing them doesn't require logging off your own mailbox and logging on to the extra mailbox.... more »

Rules based on friendly names in sender
In outlook 2003, Is there a way of making rules that trigger based on the "friendly name" version of the sender's address, rather than the actual "from" address? I get lots of spam with spoofed from addresses in the headers, but the friendly name that shows in outlook has "viagra" in it, in one form or... more »

smart-card login breaks OWA login
We're a SMALL business: E2K7 (all roles hosted on W2K8 server with AD installed). Some users are required to use smart-card login on our LAN (enforced in AD). When these users attempt to login to OWA from remote location that has no smart-card drivers installed, they're not allowed to connect (credentials error). All other users connect fine.... more »

POP 3 & Exchange 2000
Hi Folks; I'm trying to give a non-domain member email access to our Exchange Server via Outlook Express and POP3. For the life of me, I can't seem to get it to work. At present, she can send mail through the exchange server only to local (internal) users. If she tries to send email to an external user we get the unable to relay error... more »
