Auto Response with Distrubtion Group..

We need to set an Auto Response to our HR Departments incoming resume
email Distribution Group.
I have set the setting on the ESM
*allow automatic replies.
We have an HR lady that receives the email from the HR Distribution
group directly into her inbox. So when I create the rule on her
Outlook client it is suppose to work.
*sent to people or distribution group(selected HR
Distribution
group)
*have the server reply using a specific message(created
message)
*turn this rule on
*finish
Well it seemed like it was suppose to work, not so much.
Am I doing something wrong?

Hmm. Rules are an Outlook thing, so you might need to post in
m.p.outlook for the most expert answer -

Is this rule a client- or server-side rule? I'd assume it's a
client-side one and won't do anything unless she's logged into Outlook
at the time.

Try setting up another autoreply rule (use a test mailbox and set up
one that will autoreply to all incoming mail).

That said, I think enabling autoreply is a bad idea as it can lead to
mail loops.
