Auto Reply at the Server

I get hundreds of messages for people who no longer work for my
company. I would like to set up an auto-reply on my exchange server
5.5 for all of my email users that have left the company. Can this be
done?

Yes, you must however maintain the old user mailbox for a period of time

1. Create a new mailbox something like "Deleted Users"
2. Change the Primary Recipient on each of the old users to the mailbox
created above.
3. Set the Inbox Rule for this recipient to return a message when a message
arrives and then delete the message.
