Excel 2010 and the Apostrophe?

When I set a cell to test I still can't type an apostrophe. I see it in the
top where I would put equations, but it doesn't appear in the cell.

the apostrophe is a prefix for text formatted cells and not visible in
the cell. If you want to see an apostrophe, then type it twice.
