Hello,

I have a file for which when I select entire Workbook and hit Print,
Excel creates multiple print jobs. Collate check box is cleared, and I
am quite sure that Print Quality is same for all sheets. I have read
Microsoft KB
article 168563 about unexpected behavior when sheets in excel have
varying Print quality.

Any idea why this may happen? Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Wow! I see a lot going on here: printing from a file; printing an entire
workbook; spontaneous multiple print jobs; random print quality.

Not being an expert here but having had lots of problems and experience
printing with Excel, let's see if we can look at this one step at a time.

First of all, just try to print one worksheet carefully defining on the
sheet the area to be printed. Just do that successfully and we can move
on from there.

You will probably receive much more capable answers here, but just in
case, try the above first.

Thank you very much for your response.
To answer your question, I was able to successfully print one
worksheet.
Having done that, I noticed two things particular with the file.
1. With the first worksheet active, when I click File->Print, number
of copies is set to 2 in the Print dialog. However, when other
worksheets are active, if I click File->Print, number of copies is 1.
2. The first worksheet has print area set. Other worksheets don't have
print areas set.
When I select the entire workbook to print, set number of copies to 1,
I can tell excel creates one print job for the first worksheet which
has print area set and a second job for the other worksheets.

what I am trying to do is print the file using excel automation
calling Print method on the active workbook so that it creates one
single print job. What can I do may be
something in page set up to force it create one print job?

Thanks in advance.
