Fitting to page

I'm using Excel 2003 on XP Pro.

I'm trying to print a one-page grid.

I've specified landscape orientation on legal size paper, left margin
.75", top 1", right .75", bottom 1" and "fit to page".

When I print it, I get the grid approximately centered on the page
with the right edge cut off. The printed margins are left 3.5", top
1.75:, right 2.5", and bottom 2".

If the margins were as I specified them, it would fit fine.

What am I missing?

Never mind. Although I was printing legal-size paper from the primary
printer tray, I have the printer set up to insert a separator sheet
from the secondary tray. The secondary tray was loaded with
letter-size paper. There was no error message, but this apparently
confused the printer. Loading legal paper in both trays solved the
problem.
