Worksheet name after copying

I am working with a worksheet that I copy (keeping same blank form) but the
name changes from TL to TL (2) which I cannot use in my rollup as the formula
won't read. Could anyone help me figure a way to keep the new worksheet name
from adding the ( ) so that my formulas will work

You can't have 2 sheet with the same name in the same workbook, so you would
need to change the name, you can
do that by right clicking the tab and select rename. Look also at templates
in help

I understand that but when a copy the worksheet and it changes the name to TL

Depends on the formula. Usually, you can use INDIRECT()

So, INDIRECT("TL!A2")

Will retain TL as the sheet name even after you make a copy.

Here is my fomula =TL2!$E$5 - just a basic cell copy refernce from another
worksheet; but when I copy the original worksheet it displays a new sheet as
TL (2).

Maybe I got confused. Are you aying when you make a copy of the worksheet,
how can you get the worksheet to say TL2 instead of TL (2)?

That would only work with VB. May want to ask the Programming folks for
assistance with that...
