I'm using Office XP and when I double click an excel file
in windows explorer, it shows a blank screen and toolbars
only. But when using file, open, then it's okay.
I also happens in my word documents.
Any ideas?

You may want to try these. Sometimes one will fix your problem:
Close Excel and
Start|Run
excel.exe /regserver
The /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults.
An alternative might be to do:
Try Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)
