I'm trying to move some files from a PC environment to a Mac (XL 2004)
and there are some differences that are frustrating me.
1. Where is the control that allows setting macro security to low? The
only macros I run are trusted, but I still keeping getting the alert.
It's on the Macro sub-menu on the PC.
2. Where do I put .xla files so that the add-in control sees them? The
Office add-in folder doesn't seem to be the place.
3. If the xla code is password protected, how do I get to the
properties in the VBE to provide the password (that's how it works on
the PC). On the Mac, properties is grey, and I just get told "no can
do".
4. I've gotten Chip Pearson's Cell View to work on my Mac. I had to
remove the password he provides on the PC and then copy it over. How do
I get Steve Bullen's VBE Smart Indenter to work?
Daniel Klann's favourites.xla runs, but with an error. I think I can
fix it-has to do with menu differences.
Really want to know how to make these xla tools autoload. If I have to,
I'll load via personal.xls, but I'll still get that alert. I put them
in the Startup folder, but they don't fire off from there like I thought
they would.
Thanks for any insights.
...Best, Capt. N.
