  <title type="text">Chart distorts secondary axis when the x-axis is logarithmic</title>

  I&#39;m trying to create a chart whose x-axis and primary y-axis are logarithmic &lt;br&gt; and whose secondary y-axis is linear using Excel 2007. No matter how I build &lt;br&gt; the chart (i.e. three columns at the same time, or adding a series at a time) &lt;br&gt; as soon as I select logarithmic from the x-axis options the data plotted on

  Try and break down the chart into its constituent parts. &lt;br&gt; Where is it first going wrong? &lt;br&gt; Change the underlying range at that point and see the impact of doing that &lt;br&gt; in the chart. &lt;br&gt; Basically, change the range to as small as possible but then keep adding to &lt;br&gt; the range and see the effect of doing that on the chart.   Check what type of chart you are using. Playing around with some sample data &lt;br&gt; similar to your example, it sounds like you created a stacked column chart, &lt;br&gt; when you are really wanting a clustered chart. A stacked chart adds on each &lt;br&gt; series&#39;s value to the previous series value(s).

  I&#39;m doing an energy chart for 3 different buildings. Column 1 has the &lt;br&gt; months, column 2 has the dollar amount is for Bldg 1. Column 3 is for the &lt;br&gt; dollar amount for Bldg 2 and column 4 ist the dollar amount for Bldg 3. &lt;br&gt; On the chart, Bldg 1&#39;s data shows correctly @ 2300.   I created a new file with file extension .xlsm. &lt;br&gt; Columns D to I continue updating with no problems, the chart just freezes &lt;br&gt; after about 247 rows. &lt;br&gt; When I created the line chart, I selected columns D to I as input data and &lt;br&gt; Column C for my X axis ( there is no data in column C) this appears to work &lt;br&gt; up to row 247.

  when you saved into 2007, you keep the old file format or use the new format? &lt;br&gt; if using new, pls make sure you are using xlsm. &lt;br&gt; if you are using the compatibility mode, please check make to make sure you &lt;br&gt; click the security setting to low.
