I refer to the Support Statement for VB6 issued by Microsoft at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vbrun/ms788708.aspx

I am hoping to look for a similar Support Statement for Visual C++ 6 but I
am not able to locate it anywhere.

Specifically, my main concern is whether Visual C++ 6 runtime will be
officially supported on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008/R2, and if
possible, Windows 7.

I am not too concern about the Visual C++ 6 IDE itself.

This information will help us plan our schedule to migrate our many existing
applications developed in Visual C++ 6 to the latest Visual C++.

Any pointer will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

The msvcrt.dll/msvcirt.dll are also included in this list ;)

Thanks Jochen for your reply.

I noticed it too actually that some of the VC++6 runtime files are listed,
but I fear that it is only implied that it would be supported. After all, the
list is meant for VB6.

I think I should not make a plan based on my assumption or some
interpretation.

Appreciate it and thanks.
