Hi I am still using CS2008 and am happy with it. There are a lot of tablet and iPhones out there and you can download apps for them. Does is Visual Studio able to do these. I beleive Java Script is also involved which is not my favourate language as I know little about it.

Just a thought as I have one now and it would bee cool to write my own apps.

I don't think VS is good for writing Android or iOS apps.

VS is good for writing WP and WinRT apps.

I know very little about this, but I believe that WP7 requires 2010 and
WP8 and WinRT requires 2012.
