When running svcutil.exe , I receive the error

"SvcUtil.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

What is really strange is that I've successfully run svcutil.exe on this
machine before.

I am totally baffled.

Try running svcutil.exe from the Visual Studio Prompt from the directory its
found in.
In my case it was
c:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bin\svcutil.exe

This solved the Problem for me. It used to work simply from the prompt in
Vista but now under Windows 7 64bit it didnt work directly from the prompt
unless I navigated to the above mentioned dir and executed there.
