I do a lot of projects using tables. I sometimes like to add graphics but I
format it to be behind the text so that it does not move my text around.
However, when I try to select the graphic again to reposition it, I can't.
And when I move the table to access the image, the image stays in the table
and moves with it. I used to work on Wordperfect, and I was able to select
the graphic by right clicking and selecting - select box - which selects my
image. How do I select it in Microsoft Word?

There is a big white arrow on the left of the drawing toolbar, select the arrow,
select your image.
