Do you have a previous version of Publisher?
You can use the Clip Gallery if you do, just install it from your setup disk.
There is an add-in here:

Dear Mary,

I am somewhat of a novice. After I downloaded this add on it opened and
located itself in my unzipped folder. How do I use it with Publisher 2003 or
Word 2003 to use my Office 2000 Clip Art?

Please some simple instructions for a simple mind.

Thank you,

Do you have all the clipart from 2000 intact? The catalog file is in the folder with
the clipart. Open the Gallery, click "Import Clips", expand the "files of type" to
"Clip Gallery Catalogs." Browse to the clipart catalog.
It will be in a folder similar to this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Catalog (This is a
hidden folder)

To use the Gallery in Office 2003, on the toolbar, insert, object, scroll down to
Microsoft Clip Gallery.

You also can drag the "CAG" icon to your desktop and create a shortcut. You cannot
insert from it, but you can drag and drop.
The "CAG" is in a folder similar to this:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Artgalry

Yes Mary we have Office 2000 Pro we purchased and still have the CD with the
Clip Art. I found the file on CD 2 and had been using it but not the way this
would allow me to. Again thank you Mary. Tell Bill I said he isn't paying you
nearly enough and your clients think you are worth alot more with benefits.

Should I move the file from the Add On into the Office Folder? Or just leave
it in the Unzipped folder?

I'd leave it. If you have the Gallery installed from Disk two the add-in isn't
necessary. Thanks for the kind words... I am a volunteer.

The version I was using before was from my office. Publisher 2003 is for my
personal use. Is there any media content CD that I can purchase to use for
clip art? i think it is ridiculous if there is not one available. I do not
think users should have to be online when using publisher which is what the
current version requires. As well as it takes forever to download and search
through the online site.

Also it takes up a lot of memory on my laptop whereas the CD had the images
loaded and did not take up unnecessary space. I thought publisher 2003 would
be better since it is a newer version. Instead I am greatly disappointed.

There are many, many modestly priced clipart packages available.

Dear Mary,

I have spent most of my life as a volunteer, honestly. They are the glue
that holds this country and its' people together. Please know in your heart
how much I appreciated all your help this past week. I know I could not have
gotten the level of skill and knowledge you provided this week for me
anywhere else!! God bless you and your co workers and I still think Bill
should be paying you more!!!

The link isn't working for some reason. i even tried to paste it in and it
still came up with nothing. I did go to the Amazon site and searched for
clip art/media content. There is a lot of software...can they all work with
publisher? Is there one that is made by microsoft that is supposed to go
with publisher 2003? I have office 2000 on my computer so I need something
compatible.

I am looking for Good Clip Art. I would prefer Microsoft....I looked at a
lot of what was offered on Amazon and they mostly had poor reviews from
users. Any recommendations for quality clip art CDROMS? Can I buy an older
vedrsion of Microsoft's publisher media content software? If so, where could
I find it?

I appreciate your insight.

Hi Jenny, If you have Office 2000 most all the clipart on the Office site is
available to you. Does your Clip Gallery work okay? Maybe you need to compact your
Gallery. Right-click any image in the catalog, click recover.
Publisher 2003 did not come with a media disk, Publisher XP (2002) did, you cannot
buy the disk separately.

Mary,

Thanks for answering all the questions. I have been downloading clip art
from the internet I just find it more time consuming. It seems like I am not
the only one. Do you share consume feedback with Microsoft? I know you said
you volunteer your time to answer questions...if you do share feedback please
suggest they offer a seperate media content CD or include it with the next
edition of Publisher.

Thanks for all of your help. I greatly appreciate having a place to turn
with questions.

Is Publisher 2002 still on the Market for purchase? I may return the
software I have and buy the older version.

Jenny, You can look on eBay, there are vendors that sell older software. Be very sure
to whom you are dealing with, there are many charlatans around.
