I have a an aplication that gets connected to oracle (10.2.4) via ODBC (at
my desktop I'm using windows 7 )
in my desktop everithing runs excelent also running the compiled aplication
on windows 2003 server (the application gets distributed to users via TS)

I'm moving the aplication to windows 2008 r2 on server ,
the odbc DSN was created excelent , and the test button sent me a
connection was succesful messaje

so everything supose to work fine.

When the connection is been made i received an error SQLSTATE = IM014
"specified DSN architecture does not match between the controller and the
application"

I installed the development tool (VB) on the server and when trying to do
the connection inside the developer i get exactly the same error.

Any idea

your Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit or 32 bit?, what's your Oracle client
architecture? you need a 32 bit oracle client and 32 bit DSN to work with 32
bit application.
