God Bless You Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm a new excited father and husband that
just saw the ultrasound of our babe in the womb!

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect to Sql server through an
ODBC driver & utility? We have an MS Access application that we want to
connect to a remote SQL Server. Please advise, thanks!

Sincerely,
Anthony Smith
Praise God for our new babe in the womb!

Hi,
yes, it is possible, but you need to be sure that sql server port (1433 by
default) is open on remote server and you connecting using TCP/IP protocol

Have a look here:

In addition to the resource Alex pointed you to, you'll want to
research best practices from the Access side:

Optimizing Microsoft Office Access Applications Linked to SQL Server

Congratulations on your happy event :)
