Folks

How do I change the design / layout of the quotes & invoices in CRM 3.0 so I
can add logo's etc and set them out more like our existing setup?

Can't find any documentation anywhere...

Kind regards

I too was disappointed with the response! So we're now going down the route
of mail-merging the requisite data into Word to actually produce the quote /
invoice that gets presented to the contact. That way the data will be
within CRM as part of the relationship but the presentation meets corporate
standards...

It's a bit fiddly, but if CRM can't do it out of the box we need a
workaround! We're also playing around with Crystal Reports...

Hope this helps

Haven't actually gone down that road yet - unlikely to be this side of
Christmas... will, however, keep this group posted...

If you want to discuss offline, feel free to contact me as below - I'm in
the UK...

Kind regards

I would suggest staying awaya from a solution to this problem that uses
Crystal Reports. As Crystal reports is not part of your CRM 3.0
license, and will thusly not be supported by microsoft. I have 2
suggestion

1) Consider a great add in to CRM from a company call Quote Werks.
www.quotewerks.com
2) Cook up a solution in SQL reporting services. This would provide
you not only a supportable platform. You will also have extensability
to SharePoint services, CRM, and SQL.

I do agree that this seems, as we say in the USA, half baked. It is
like migrosoft never thought anybody would actually send out a quote to
someone. Wierd.

The product comes with a Word merge template that can be customized to be
what you want and is used via the CRM for Outlook client. The other option
woould be to build a SRS report to format the information the way you want
it.

Where is this Word document? Is there any documentation on this?

When you install CRM for Outlook, it installs several merge templates on
your machine.

The templates are installed locally when the CRM Outlook client is intalled.

Edit these in word to include your own graphics/styling.
