I checked the MSCRM_DataSource. It is looking for the correct server and
Inital Catalog. I looked at properties(via Report Manager) for each of the
reports, and the are looking for MSCRM_DataSource. Once I try to run the
report(either Report Manager or inside CRM web client). I get this error:

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot create a connection to data source 'Adventure_Works_Cycle_MSCRM'.
(rsErrorOpeningConnection)
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the
local server machine, or enable remote errors

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

Thank you,
Adam

change the datasource to the "Real" database on the reporting
services . Click properties of a single report and then click on data
source and edit the connection string . after that run it . If it
works then reset the IIS and run the report from CRM interface .

Still no luck. I changed the data source from a shared one to a specific
connection string with Integrated Windows authentication. It still is
looking for the Adventure works. So, I downloaded the report throught the
CRM web interface, and opened it up in Visual Studio 2005. The Datasource in
the report is still set to Adventure works. So, I changed it and uploaded
back to CRM. Now it is telling me the DataSource I just created cannot be
found.

I downloaded the newly updated report through Report Manager on the SRS
Server, opened it up in notepad, and can clearly see the datasource being
defined and then referenced to.

Any ideas on that?

Thank you,
Adam

Have you reseted the IIS after chaging the data source to the
current ?

Go through from these steps:

1= what is the connect string (see the space and fromat)

Data Source=Test-SQL;Initial Catalog=Test_MSCRM

so check your connection string

2 = CLICK security and see if your current organizationName's GUID is
listed their

TEST LAN\ReportingGroup {03adebb4-80b5-4618-a84c-4c63dae6e894}

3 = if possible create a new simple custom report and upload it
through reporting services ...but first make it sure query and
preview works fine .

Sorry for the confusion, but The reports seem to be working fine if, I log
into (RDP) Reporting Services Server and connect to
(http://localhost/reports). All reports run. But if I try to go to
(http://servername/reports) from a client(xp machine), the reports give the
cannot find datasource message. Any clues on this one? Sounds like it might
be security related?

I check the CRM user groups in AD and the client account is in the
appropriate groups and has full access to CRM Data.

Thank you,
Adam

I followed you steps below, and the simple report I created ran fine in the
CRM interface. I looked at it through Report Manager and it has the same
security and datasource as all the other non-working reports.

Can you publish your reports again (PublishReports.exe) . Find the
following exe on the crm server , it should be at (C:\Program Files
\Microsoft CRM\Reports) or search on drive.
