...yes I know it sounds incredibly dumb, but hey...

I have just started evaluating the MCMS 2002 and integrated with Studio.NET

When I amend the Woodgrove sample, adding new templates, it all works fine.
But the client wants a VB project. (And adding new projects is something I
should understand anyways).

Simply: how do you create the first page? I understand that you cannot
create a new template file and browse to that. (Check Ray Simpsons
postings). But how do you do it then? I created a default.aspx and put the
Default Console there, but when I click "edit mode" I don't get the option
to create a new page, in fact, nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong here? Where should I begin?

Extremely grateful for any help,

Desperately,

Toby

See "Creating an MCMS Web Project in Visual Studio .NET"
under "Site Development Using MCMS Functionality"
under "Developing Your MCMS Site"
in the MCMS help file.

You'll be glad to see that it even uses VB.NET instead of C#.

The first "posting" will actually be done from the Web Author's MCMS
"Welcome" page using a template and template file that you create in VS.NET
thru a Channel that you create in Site Manager. I think that the creation of
the first channel actually creates the "Welcome" page. The default.aspx file
will not actually be used from the root of the virtual directory like it
would in a traditional web site.
