Subject: MCMS SP upgrade
Hello!

Our current set up is MCMS 2002 SP1, dot net 1.1
If we upgrade CMS to SP2 do we need to upgrade our application to atleast
dot net 2.0 ? Does dot net 1.1 work with CMS SP2 ?

Appreciate any advise.

Cheers,
Smita

Hi Smita,

no worries, SP2 still works and is supported with .NET 1.0, 1.1 and
2.0.

rgds,
Wolfgang

Thanks a lot !

For some reason we have decided not to upgrade CMS to CMS SP2 at this
stage. So now I am wondering if I just upgrade my CMS web app to dot net 2.0 ,
will it work with CMS SP1 ?

Cheers,
Smita

Hi Smita,

SP1 and SP1a do not support ASP.NET 2.0.
If ASP.NET 2.0 is required you have to install SP2.

Also be aware that service packs before SP2 are no longer supported by
Microsoft.

Cheers,
Stefan
