MSCMS resource gallery oddities

Hows does the resource gallery work?.....

I have noticed that our SDO export/import is quite large. i check out the
report and I see that old PDFs are uploaded when apparently none of the
resource managers actually uploaded the document, only edited the page the
link sits on.

So I guess my question is... If a new page is created with links to existing
resource gallery items.... are the gallery items re-exported during a PUSH?

Hi,

yes, every time you approve a page (after adding a new one or editing
an exisiting page), alle the ressources linked from that page will be
exported.

How is it then that pages that have not been approved are included in the SDO
export along with any gallery reources?

Hi,

the problem you experience is common when you have deleted resource gallery
items that were still in use.
In this situation the deleted items are exported over and over again till
the last posting that references them is removed.
