Published url of a channel

Hi,

I would like to know why sometimes channel.UrlModePublished is returned as a
cryptic url ?

e.g. something like /NR/exeres/E682F21B-FF17-45B5-BCBF-2AAF3BBB17AB.htm

Appreciate any help on this.

More than likley, there is already a channel (or even posting) with
the SAME name!
