hello,

is there any way to monitor the receive location and Port in the
console in case the fall disable. cause it did happend to us and we
still scratching our head about that... anyhow is there anyway to get
some notification when they failed.. ...not the client calling us
asking us why biztalk didnt consume the file !!!!

Hi,

I'm sure there must be a notification in the eventlog, that you can
monitor using MOM. Another solution would be to create a service that
uses WMI to poll the status of the port(s). I had a situation that the
BizTalk machine had to read from an unstable network drive and wrote a
service that automatically started the port again, because the file
adapters shuts itself down after some time, when the file location is
not available.

Hi

Check out Minotaur, a new product from Raging Bull Tech. It is a BizTalk monitoring tool / solution. It will do the monitoring you require and notify a operator in case of a orchestration or port begin disabled.
