Is there a bug in Biztalk 2006/HIS 2004 or have I to configure it somewhere
else?
Kind Regards,
Peter
There is a known bug may cause the symptom(Service Window of Receive
Location doesn't work) if you changed the biztalk group name: Changing
group name doesn't update existing host instances, causing engine to fail
when reading group level settings.
When biztalk group is renamed, the adm_group table is updated with the new
name for the biztalk group. When a host instance is created, a registry key
is created which hardcodes the value of the group name.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BTSSvc$BizTalkServerAp
plication]
ImagePath = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server
2006\BTSNTSvc.exe" -group "BizTalk Group" -name "BizTalkServerApplication"
-btsapp "{ABC74930-6E44-4770-8139-0029B0F49D27}"
When the registry references a group name that no longer exists, the cache
refresh interval is erroneously set to 60000 seconds instead of the default
60 seconds. The LMSThreshold is also incorrectly set back to Biztalk 2004
levels.
In this case, the one host instance that had been created prior to the
rename had the old group name. The workaround is to re-create the host
instance, or manually change the registry key entry to reference the new
group name.
If you have indeed changed the Group Name you should be able to work around
the issue by updating the Group Name passed on the command line for the
BTSNTSvc.exe in the registry and restarting the BTS Service.
Also this issue is fixed in BizTalk 2006 R2 RC/RTM.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
WenJun Zhang
