Hi,

Environment: BizTalk Server 2009

I have a scenario wherein I'm receiving EDI messages from multiple
parties (40) with different partner id's but all have the same EDI
Schema and I need to call same map for all these received messages. In
order to achieve the above mentioned target is it necessary that i'll
have to create 40 different parties? Is there any simplified way to
achieve the same.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Would appreciate if someone could respond to my query. I'm still not
able to find an appropriate resolution for this.

Hi Petal,

sorry but I didn't understand your needs?

According to my understanding, you could create only one party for all
your 40 counterparts. Since they share exactly the same schema and
mapping.

It's like creating several Receive Locations that all are using the
same Receive Port.

Is my answer completely out of scope?

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your response.

In my scenario i'm receiving all the files from an FTP location and
hence I have a
single receive port/loc. for all the received files.

As far as my understanding goes BizTalk validates each incoming EDI
message
based on the party specification which holds the Source partner ID
[which is different
in my case for all the received messages] and the schema to validate
it with[which is
same for all the parties in my case].

In case I dn't create different party how will BizTalk validate the
incoming EDI messages?
I'm using EDI Receive pipeline which will convert all the EDI messges
to XML.

Hope this clarifies my scenario.

Regards,
Petal
