We have a Windows 2000 non SBS Server with Exchange 2003 and SQL 2005.
We have a new Dell Server and have purchased SBS 2008 Premium with an open
license. We plan on using both servers. We would like to migrate the mail
to SBS with Exchange 2007 and SQL to SQL 2008. Obviously the SBS server
would have to be the pdc so the domain and ad would need to move to the SBS
server and the 2000 server be a member server. We may end up upgrading the
2000 server to 2008 with the extra server 2008 license that comes with
premium. I'm having trouble finding good documentation on 2000 - 2008 SBS
migrations. Does Microsoft provide any migration documentation that would
work for this scenario? I did find the swing kits on sbsmigration.com but
this being the first time we've purchased an open license and I thought there
would be some sort of support or migration documentation available. Does
anyone know of any that would work for us?
Thanks
