Hi, inserting records into the dirpartytable and custtable from another SQL
SERVER db....there are no existing records in the AX db...I have the data go
in 'clean' with a partyid I set up on the source data. I can view data fine
thru customer and global address book in AX no problem. The problem arises
when I try to add a new record in AX. I get a message saying "Cannot create
a record in Global address book (DirPartyTable). Address book ID: 1004491,
Organization.
The record already exists." I did set up a number sequence for the GAB to
start at after the highest number for the partyid field value from my
inserted data, in this case it should be 1004491.
Thanks!

Gerry,
How are you inserting the new record? Directly into the table or through a
form? Can you see the record 1004491 in the table? Are the paramers set up
correctly under Admin -> Setup -> Global Address Book -> Parameters?

If everything that sams mentioned above is OK, try to do a number sequence
cleaning and deleting the list of prepared numbers on number sequence (list
button on NS form).
