Hi,

I was wondering if some of you have this same problem. On the worklist on
the home page in AX, I select any of the notifications in the list and I
right click and select Go to Record [Could refer to any related table].
However, when I select to go the record, the message "No object is specified
on menu item" is displayed. I have administrator rights and have security
access to web.

I looked at possible web menu item-action used for this "action" and I saw
the EPUnifiedWorklistGoToRecord and this has no object against it. I tested
putting an object but I still get the same record.

The system is a copy of the standard and I would assume that the worklist
function of going to the record is standard and I am expecting that an object
is already assigned to it. Is there any standard object to be assigned to
this Web menu item action. Is this available?
Or am I right to assume that EPUnifiedWorklistGoToRecord is the web menu
item-action related to this function?

I would appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

The work list records should be tied to an Activity in the system (Basic >
Common forms > Activity details). The record that the "go to original
record" function will attempt to open is found in the assiociations on the
activities, and will be marked as the Primary link. Does that record have a
form designated as the form to be used for references? For example, Sales
order records have the SalesTable form. If there is no primary link, that
may be the problem too.
