Dear all,

I'm importing fixed assets transactions into AX 2009 SP1 from AX Excel
templates but Microsoft changed fixed asset tables structure comparing with
version AX 4.0.

I used to prepare the assets transactions templates to the following tables:

AssetTrans, AssetTransMerge, AssetBook, AssetBookMerge.

Microsoft changed "AssetTransMerge" from table to view.

Which tables I should select to import the assets transactions (acquisition
and depreciation) to get the correct asset transactions and balance in AX
2009?

Regards,

Hans.

Hi Hans

I would recommend that you post the transactions via the Fixed Asset journals.

For asset details :

AssetTable
Assetbook
AssetDepBook

For the transactions :

LedgerJournalTable
LedgerJournalTrans
LedgerJournalTrans_Asset

You would have to do it twice, one for Acquisition and one for Depreciation

Hi

I have a doubt here, when i am trying to import Acquisition transactions through the respective tables
1. Ledger journal table
2. Ledger journal trans
3. Ledger journal trans_asset

I am unable to find any link between the second and third table , so if i import with all the tables i am not getting the line details in the journal lines

Its getting updated in the tables but in the front end i am unable to see those details

Have any one come across this peculiar problem , if so please help me

Its very urgent

Regards
Barath

I wrote up some notes on how I imported partially depreciated fixed assets in
AX4.0. I didn't use the Asset___Merge tables, so it may work for 2009 as
well.
