Hi,

i've got a problem problem with getting SRS reports to run in the role centre.
All reports (that i've seen) return with the following (similar) error
Error during processing of ‘AX_CompanyName’ report parameter.
(rsReportParameterProcessingError)

All services and apps run with the same account.
The KPI's from the analyses server work ok.

Anybody an idea what i should do to get this problem fixed?
Thanks in advance

I am also have this same issue. What is strange is that I was able to run the
reports in AX yesterday that I had created in Visual Studios. I try to run
the reports today and get the same 'AX_CompanyName' parameter error. I also
did the checkdown in the reporting services config file to make sure
everything was set up correctly. Anyone have ideas on how to address this
issue?

I restarted the AOS and the Reporting Server, that resolved my issue.

Hello,

Have you created a new client configuration for Business Connector and
specified default company accounts.

It will eliminate Ax_CompanyName error.

Hi Chandra,

Have you gone thru these steps in the SDK?

How to: Add SRS Reports to Pages

Collapse AllExpand All

Reports that have been created in SQL Server Reporting Services (SRS) can be displayed on Enterprise Portal pages. To add SRS reports to pages in Enterprise Portal, you must make them available and then add a Dynamics Report Server Report Web part to the page to display the report.
Making SRS Reports Available
To make SRS reports available
1. In the AOT, expand the Menu Items node, and then expand the Output node.
2. Right-click Output, and then click New Menu Item.
3. Right-click the new menu item that you added, and then click Properties.
4. In the property sheet, do the following:
1. Click ObjectType. Select SQLReportLibraryReport.
2. For the Object property, specify the name of the SRS report that you want to make available. This is the name as you defined it in the Report Designer.
3. Modify other properties as needed.
5. Save the changes in the AOT.
Adding a Dynamics Report Server Report Web Part to a Page
To add a Dynamics Report Server Report Web part to a page
1. To add a Web part to a page, use the procedure that is described in How to: Add Web Parts.
2. When specifying the properties of the Dynamics Report Server Report Web part, the Path to report property will contain the names of the SRS reports that have had menu items created for them. Choose the report that you want to display. If the report is not in the list, you can manually type the name of the SRS report.
3. Specify the Toolbar Size property to indicate whether a toolbar should be displayed for the Web part.
4. If the SRS report uses parameters, you can click Get Parameters to see what parameter values can be set for the report.
5. Set the Title property to a name appropriate for the report. This title will be displayed in the Dynamics Report Server Report Web part.
6. Set the Width and Height properties so the SRS report will display optimally.
Thanks,

I had the same problem and tried a lot of things. I am setting up a Virtual
Server (Hyper-V) with Windows 2008 ENT x64 and SQL Server 2008 ENT x64. I
have installed AX 2009 and also SP1. Now finaly everythings work for me.

The last error I had was about the Ax_Company
(rsReportParameterProcessingError) and that was solved when I added the AX
Business Connector Proxy User as the execution account on SQL 2008 Reporting
Services Configuration. I forgot to do that before. P.s. Also make sure that
when you have installed everything on the same Server that the default
website is not running at port 80 (because my EnterPrise Portal (sharepoint)
is now running at port 80.

Hi,

If you use SQL Server 2005 try clear the execution account of SRSS.
I got it from here http://axforum.info/forums/showthread.php?t=28509

Hi,

Or you can try this video (How Do I: Troubleshoot Role Center Reporting
Errors?). You will know how 'AX_CompanyName' parameter and other parameters
work and how to solve the empty value of AX_CompanyName parameter. This video
uses 'Period_Year' parameter error as sample.

How Do I: Troubleshoot Role Center Reporting Errors?

More info:

Learn how to troubleshoot Role Center report errors. This video shows you
how to find the related report and investigate an SSRS/SSAS report using
Visual Studio, how to check the query in SQL Server Management Studio, and
how to find the related code inside Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

It's a nice video. Unfortunately, because it's dependent on the MOXL code,
it would appear to also require a fully functioning development environment
to exist, just so the reporting libraries can be loaded up into Visual
Studio.

Also, it's based on a very simplistic and contrived defect which is
repaired, simply, by running the "Update BI Data" function -- which I've
already run a half dozen times as a result of stepping through the "Default
OLAP Cubes" white paper on two different environments (TEST and PRODUCTION).

Quite frankly, I was challenged to imagine a real world scenario that would
actually result in the "answer" being to run the "Update BI Data". That
would be my *first* stop if I encountered any situation with Analysis
Services or Reporting Services data that was missing!

It also presumes a properly installed and configured environment -- which,
unfortunately, is a luxury I'm forced to assume, but don't necessary
believe, in the particular instance I'm dealing with. For all I know at this
point, the Role Centers are failing because something is missing in the core
environment installation and configuration process.

It would be much more useful and helpful if somebody would simply point out
what the end result of that video would be if the defective field were the
"AX_CompanyName" field rather than the "Period_Year". Otherwise, I'll have a
development environment up in a couple of days that I *know* has been
properly installed and configured, and maybe then I'll be able to step
through the procedure described in that video -- assuming the procedure
doesn't resolve at the same end point -- "Update BI Data".

Hi,

Process OLAP the cubes to supply data to the reports
or
An incorrect Execution account has been specified in the Reporting Services
Configuration Manager

Note: For SSRS 2008 the Business Connector proxy account is required to be
the SSRS service account and for SSRS 2005 the Business Connector Proxy
account should be running as the SSRS application pool in IIS. Also look at
application event log for details on other issues.

Hi there

I had a similar issue with "AX_CompanyName" field and it turned out that
this was because my AX user had its default company set to 'DAT'. As soon as
I changed this the "AX_CompanyName" field issue was resolved. Trust me, I
will never forget to do set my default company again :)
