I have a sales order, with 100pcs.
I run master plan.
AX create a Production 100pcs, and the production order is link up with
purchase order 100pcs (raw material).
I post purchase invoice 100 pcs. (raw material)
I estimate and start the production order 100pcs.
I "report as finish" the productin order 10 pcs.
Now the customer only want to have 10 pcs.
I change the sales qty to 10 pcs.
Then when I change the quantity in production order, system ask to run
"Re-Estimate". When I run estimate, AX prompt error
"Calculating BOM consumption
Item number: RMxxx
Update purchase
Quantity cannot be reduced because the remaining update quantity changes sign.
Update has been cancelled."
Does anyone know the reason? and how can I solve it?

Thanks,
KK
If so, from the Production orders form,
Journals/Picking List,
Picking list > create lines
set Proposal: to Full Reversal
Ok & post lines.
Then change qty & re-estimate.
Finally, Journals/Picking List,
Picking list > create lines
set Proposal: to Remaining Quantity
Ok & post lines.
Hope this helps.
If it doesn't, look at the BOM from the Production order & click the qty
tab: check the Remaining quantity column - you cannot reduce the prod. order
qty by more that what remains to be picked.
