I have an issue for a customer where the total of the amounmst on custtrans
doesn't equal the sum of balances on open custtrans rows. So, if you look at
Customers->Transactions and choose show open only the total of the balance
column doesn't match the Total field on the Customers->Balance screen.
Does anyone have any idea how I can identify what transaction is causing the
problem, and what can be done to correct it to make it balance?

I have seen such situations too, sometimes we found an explanation,
sometimes not.
Mainly the problems were linked to the storno functionlaity or exchange rate
adjustments.
