Attachments locks the table

i,m testing an a application i made in Access 2007 to make sure it works in
multiuser environment. When i use the attachment feature to attach files it
locks the entire table from the time i push the ok button until i push the
save button i made in the form. As it is up to the enduser to decide when to
push the save button this could lock the table for very long time. In my
tests i have used one backend database with all tables and two enduser
interfaces with forms which is linked to the backend database. Their are
opened shared and with no recordlocks. I have also talked to another user
that gets the same problem. Is it anybody that have used the attachment
feature in access 2007 and got this problem and is their any solution to this
problem?

Unsure what you mean.
I have a table with an Attachments field, and I auto-create a form
based on it. Then I run that form, double-click that field, and there
is not the delay between OK and Save. Rather I would use Add to add
another attachment and OK to dismiss the Attachments form.
How is it different for you?

First of all thanks for your response. I see that my question didnt include
all details needed to describe my problm so i try to be a little more
specific below.
It,s not different for me, and it works fine as long as i only use one form.
But as i plan to use the application on a group of users i,m testing how it
works if two users uses the application at the same time. Therefore i have
done as you describe but i created two forms based on the table to simulate a
multiuser enwironment. Then i open the first form add a attachement and push
ok. So far everything works well. Then i open next form (based on the same
table) Adds anoter attachment and pushes Ok. After a moment i get the
message that ist locked. As i,m trying to add a attachments to different
records within the same table and i still get the locking message it seems
that the whole table is locked from that moment i push ok until i go to next
record or until i uses the command i made that save the record. The problem
for me is that it could take long time between a user pushes Ok and decides
to save or go to next record and in that time it seems to me that nobody else
can use the table. As i,m not so experiensed in Access programming and
mulituser environment i hope that you can see if i done something wrong and
if there is some solution on this problem?
