Whenever I log into Windows XP, I get a message that HKCMD module has a
problem and needs to close. Please help me repair this problem.

The HKCMD sounds like a registry error. Have you done something lately that
was registry changing.
ie An installed program or removal of a program. Or... some kind of
performance enhancement program???

You may have a virus and you might need to do a repair on your windows or
reinstall...that would be your best option
