I am trying to switch an application running in access mdb to runtime.
But searching for a specific record in a form is not longer possible.
the "CTRL B" command doesn´t work and the menu sequence Edit - Search is no
longer available.
Any ideas?

Hum, I not aware ctrl-b ever did a find? (perhaps you expand on this???).

There always been ctrl-f, and that should still work in the runtime.

You don't mention what version of ms-access. However, for 2007 usually the
idea is to provide a custom ribbon, or a button on the form(s) that allows
you to do whatever task. Remember, with the runtime users will not have
purchased nor have been trained in the use of ms-access, so it assumed that
you the developer will decide what menu and features they need.

For versions before 2007, then we use provide a custom menu (not a ribbon),
or often simply provide a some forms or place additional buttons of forms
for needed features.
