Sarven thanks very much for documenting that on the wiki - that page
is a good place to capture existing publishing patterns regarding geo
information.
Yes that's right. The "examples-in-wild" pages are for documenting
uses of existing microformats on real world web pages.

Yea, it does. Thanks for brining up the semantics of <a> for @href.
As far as geo links are concerned, I think it does make some sense as a
URI.
So, the next question is, should parsers pick up the geo data from the
anchor, ignore, or do whatever they want with it?

US-style dates (mm/dd/yyyy) should not be expected. Microformats use ISO
8601 (yyyy-mm-dd) dates.

recommend we only use content that is already available on the site and

--- that's a good question. Since the semantics of an "a" element are
for the href, but GEO doesn't make sense as a URI, i would say that it
would default to the visible text, just as if you had:
Montréal, Quebec, Canada
There isn't a compelling argument to take the @title over the node

In Swignition I implemented a handful of X-* properties, though this was
a list of additional properties recognised by the parser rather than
just allowing the page to specify arbitrary classes beginning with "x-".

Hello there!
Thanks for answering my last question concerning rfc2397 and embedded images. My code now works beautifully using the recommended methods.
Of course I got myself another nice question, and that one concerns "extended types", which means freely defined elements of an hCard. Example: I have got a field "salary" which I want to embed into my hCard.
