I have a MSI laptop with a webcam. It seems to be a sn9c202. I have
installed the drivers as instructed by the how to page. The cam works
appart from one major problem The picture is upside down. Is there any
way to correct this?

Josua, Try the attached patch and let me know if our SOI968 based camera works better with the gspca driver. I managed to get my hands on a SOI968 based camera to use for testing and this patch seems to work ok for me. Brian Johnson

I have the current driver, and the cam works fine when plugged in
after booting, but if I leave it plugged in and restart the computer,
dmesg is spammed by the following message: sn9c20x: Read register
failed 0x1005. If I try to test it with an app, such as skype, the
spamming becomes so severe that I have to hard kill the computer... more »

I used the method outlined here ([link]
microdia/web/testing-microdia- driver-draft?hl=en), and everything
seemed to work fine until I got to the part about mplayer testing. It
did not work as expected.
