The microdia module and kernel.org

Are there any plans to merge the microdia module into the upstream
kernel.org releases? And if so, is there any idea when?

I've delayed answering due to the suggestion of Hans de Goede to
include the
microdia drivers as part of gspcav2. Is there a decision on this?
