hi,

i can't compile the driver successfully, here's my error output:

*** No rule to make target `arch/x86/kernel/asm-offsets.c', needed by
`arch/x86/kernel/asm-offsets.s'. Stop.
make: *** [prepare0] Error 2

i use 2.6.24-16-generic kernel with ubuntu 8.04.
of course i do have kernel headers and source installed
properly, as well as necessary bulid tools.

any ideas?

cheers :)

I have the same problem, I downloaded the source kernel package and
unzipped it in the /usr/src folder.
Anyone can help us?

I'm on Ubuntu 8.04 with kernel 2.6.24-16-generic

Cheers
Fabio

I got it to work. Once you have created the microdia directory
(probably in your home folder), you have to set the permission to read
and write for your user (e.g. with chmod), than you type:

make

(not in sudo mode, just as normal user) and it should work. Try it!
