Hi,
I have a USB PC 6 led webcam ID 0C45-6128. I have tried installing
various drivers including the SN9C series. However, nothing seems to
work. I have checked it by clicking on Device Manager and tried
updating the driver, but it doesn't help. Any ideas?

Thanks much Jojo. Yes this is Windows. I have been trying to get the
driver done from past cpl of days and its been awful, so I finally
thought lets try in google groups as well.

I finally made some progress with the link you gave me and the driver
files seem to be installed. I did get an error while running the
executable saying the Fixcamera.exe is not being found. Its cos the
exe was quarantined by the antivirus which detected it as having
'Trojan' virus.

Secondly, when I check in the Device manager, there's an exclamatory
mark against the USB Camera plus and it says:-

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver
may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). It looks like it needs some
more updates.

Atleast the driver files are copied to the system32 path. Any ideas?
Thanks again.

Hi Preeti

I believe the cause to be either
- SP3
- Antivirus

but "Code 39" makes me believe its an antivirus problem.
FixCamera.exe needs to be released from quarantine.
Then you should be able to get your webcam working, post a skype
screenshot here.

BTW, this group is for _Linux_ drivers,
Can we help convince you to switch to linux ;-)

If you have further queries not relating to Linux driver
(but for windows) its better to contact me directly.

Hi Jojo,

Thanks for your reply. I tried fixing the fixcamera, but the antivirus fails to clean saying its infected with Trojan virus. Am attaching some screenshots for you.

And thx so much for helping me here.

Thx,

preeti
