We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Great
Lakes Ruby Bash.
The Great Lakes Ruby Bash is the successor to RubyConf*MI, one of the
first ever regional Ruby conferences.
This is a one-day conference that will contain a mix of 30-minute and
1-hour talks, covering Ruby, Rails, and related topics.
Attendance is $50 and includes lunch.
Where:
Ann Arbor, on the beautiful University of Michigan
campus
When:
Saturday, October 11th

BTW, I'll just note that Eric emailed me before posting this. While
most of us tend to use Python rather than Ruby, I figured that it's
hard enough to spread the word about local events like this so I told
Eric to "go for it".

Perhaps a Michigan Python Bash is in order. Just from interviewing local candidates over the last year there seems to be a pretty large community of python users enrolled and coming out of the University in AA.

On a semi-related note, there is work ongoing to get an AppEngine hack-a-thon here sometime in November.
