I've found out I'm going to be out of town this week, so I won't be at the meeting. Hopefully we can arrange for someone else to open the doors, and host the meeting. (Please volunteer!)
But even I'm not there, we've still got a great speaker lined up to talk about Git: both how you can use it to track code revisions, and how the internal data model works. More than any other Source Code Management tool, git users gain a huge advantage from knowing how the internals work. If you understand how git works, and the basic commands you can easily do things that most other version control software would never let you do.
So, come learn how to use and abuse git. And remember playing with powertools is fun, as long as somebody looses an eye.
